Orlando Ceballos hizo llegar a la Asamblea Legislativa un documento en el que informa que renuncia de forma irrevocable a su cargo de magistrado del Tribunal Constitucional Plurinacional (TCP), esto luego de verse en el centro del escándalo por una denuncia de agresión a su pareja.
El hasta ahora tribuno es procesado por hechos de violencia en contra de su pareja y también enfrenta un juicio de responsabilidades dentro de la comisión de Justicia Plural, por incumplir con la Constitución Política del Estado (CPE).
«Pongo en conocimiento de vuestra comisión, que en la presente fecha presenté mi renuncia irrevocable al cargo de magistrado del Tribunal Constitucional Plurinacional, electo por el departamento de Chuquisaca», detalla la misiva que remitió.
El MAS presionaba a Ceballos para que abandone sus funciones, pero hace algunas semanas él dijo que asumiría defensa de los procesos que existen en su contra y denunció que existe presión para dividir su familia.
El caso
Hace días el Ministerio Público presentó imputación formal en su contra, acusado por violencia familiar contra su esposa, y pidió la detención domiciliaria sin asistencia a su fuente laboral, presentación periódica y la prohibicion de acercarse a la víctima, por estar considerado como posible autor del hecho.
El 11 de marzo, su esposa lo denunció por violencia física y psicológica. El informe del Instituto de Investigaciones Forenses estableció siete días de impedimento y luego se conoció que era reincidente.
Pese al pedido de la cónyugue de desistir la causa, la Fiscalía continúa con las investigaciones, ahora, el otro proceso en el Legislativo ahora se extinguirá al haber renunciado.
