Aldo Figueroa, considerado uno de los seis narcotraficantes más buscados de Perú, transitaba libremente en Bolivia con el nombre de Rafael Cossío Limachi. Además, su organización de tráfico de droga operaba desde Perú hacia Paraguay y Brasil.
Figueroa fue capturado la noche del miércoles en Trinidad y se movía en el país con documentos falsos. Tiene antecedentes por narcotráfico desde 2010, según informó el director de la Felcn, Maximiliano Dávila.
El ministro de Gobierno, Carlos Romero, detalló que esta persona maneja una organización de tráfico de drogas desde Perú hacia Paraguay y Brasil, realizando “puentes aéreos” en Beni, informó en conferencia de prensa.
Figueroa enviaba avionetas desde ese departamento hacia la Amazonia peruana, donde cargaban la droga para traerla a Bolivia y luego enviarla a Brasil y Paraguay. El ministro adelantó que en el marco de los convenios y buenas relaciones que se tienen con Perú, se pondrá a disposición de las autoridades judiciales y policiales de ese país al ciudadano capturado.
En los últimos meses, las autoridades dieron a conocer diferentes casos en los que personas ligadas con actividades ilícitas –incluso extranjeros– tenían documentación boliviana falsa. Acciones que motivaron la investigación policial en oficinas como el Serecí y Migración, de acuerdo a lo adelantado por el ministro Romero hace poco.
Entre los casos más conocidos está el de Nelson Mauriel, vicepresidente del club de fútbol Blooming, quien después de que fuera asesinado se estableció que tenía vínculos con el narcotráfico y usaba el nombre falso de Nelson Mayser Spinatto para viajar a otros países.
