Policías pertrechados con gases y armas arremetieron a un grupo donde se encontraban niños, mujeres y ancianos, según confirmaron medios locales y la propia asambleísta departamental, María Lourdes Vaca, quien expresó su preocupación porque “mujeres, niños y personas de la tercera edad están siendo avasalladas”.
En un anterior conflicto, se había acordado una reunión para el 25 del presente con los comunarios de Chiquiacá Norte, pero hoy sorpresivamente se adelantó la reunión sólo con los que están de acuerdo con las actividades extractivas dentro de la Reserva y se procedió con la violenta intervención policial, relataron medios locales.
El senador Fernando Campero Paz, denunció que son más de 200 efectivos. Aseveró que entre los manifestantes de Tariquía están mujeres, niños y campesinos. “Es un movimiento popular, no había políticos”, aseguró.
“Policías ingresaron al área avasallando a los pobres campesinos, con la total colusión de la Defensora del Pueblo, la defensora está defendiendo al régimen político”, agregó el senador.
Del lado del oficialismo, el dirigente de los Interculturales, José Yucra acusó a la dirigencia cívica del Tarija de reclutar activistas urbanos para enfrentar a la población y dijo que la reunión propiciada por el Ministerio de Hidrocarburos se trataba de una reunión técnica para explicar detalles del proyecto.
