La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (Cepal) elevó la proyección de crecimiento para Bolivia una décima de punto porcentual para situarla en 4.4 por ciento, lo que ubica al país andino entre los líderes en la región para 2019.
Entrevistado por el canal de televisión local, Red Uno Bolivia, el ministro de Economía y Finanzas Públicas, Luis Arce, afirmó que las proyecciones anuncian que el país andino será líder en el crecimiento económico de la región.
“En el programa fiscal financiero, nos pusimos la meta de crecer un 4.5 por ciento durante la presente gestión”, indicó Arce en declaraciones que fueron difundidas por la cuenta oficial del Ministerio en la red social Twitter.
En este mismo sentido, el economista Abraham Pérez consideró que la revisión de crecimiento económico de la CEPAL refleja el buen comportamiento de la economía boliviana.
«La CEPAL se está acercando a la proyección del gobierno, seguramente viendo el comportamiento de la economía boliviana. El ajuste a la subida siempre es positivo», señaló el analista en declaraciones a la prensa local.
Pérez destacó que la demanda interna ha sido el motor de crecimiento de la economía.
De acuerdo con las estimaciones preliminares de la Cepal, dadas a conocer el diciembre pasado, la economía boliviana crecería en 2019 entre 4.3 por ciento del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB).
El Balance Preliminar de las Economías de América Latina y el Caribe 2018 de la Cepal reveló que ese pronóstico es casi dos tercios superior que el promedio de América Latina.
