En conferencia de prensa el Viceminstro de salud, Álvaro Terrazas informó que este jueves 25 de abril, los uniformados de la Escuela de Cóndores Bolivianos (ESCONBOL) que se encuentran en cuarentena serán dados de baja y los que se encontraban internados en la clínica Incor de la ciudad de Santa Cruz por tener síntomas de hantavirus los resultados serológicos salieron negativos.
El Viceministro en su visita a Yacuiba manifestó que los oficiales de la ESCONBOL que se encuentran en cuarentena a la fecha no han presentado síntomas de esta enfermedad y por eso de determinó darles de alta; mientras que a los que estaban en contacto con los dos fallecidos durante las operaciones de táctica y patrullaje se mantendrán en observación a pesar de no portar el virus.
«No hay necesidad de que exista alarma en las comunidades de Yacuiba y Villa Montes y mucho menos en las ciudades, los roedores colilargo viven en campo adentro, tienen miedo a las personas» dijo el Viceministro.
Las puertas de la Escuela de Cóndores se reabrirá porque no hay riesgo de contagio y los oficiales volverá a sus actividades con normalidad.
Asimismo, informó que el personal especializado del minsiterio de salud y SEDES están trabajando en la parte preventiva en la comunidad de Sanandita y otro equipo en el lugar de posible contagio, la comunidad de Taiguapi del municipio de Villa Montes donde se está procediendo a la captura de estos roedores a través del trampeado.
Con relación al modo de contagio de los militares el viceminstro manifestó que no se puede determinar con exactitud como se contagiaron, solo se presume que habría sido por vía inhalacion de orina del roedor o por desvaratar su lugar de residencia en el monte y eso provocó el contacto con los roedores.
Por lo que se continúa con la incertidumbre de ¿cómo contrajeron la enfermedad? ¿porqué solo ellos dos contrajeron y no así comunarios que habitan los montes? ¿comieron esos ratones como puebas de sobreviviencia?
