Rusia ve los signos de preparación de una operación militar de EE.UU. contra Venezuela, pero se verá con el tiempo si este plan se lleva a cabo, ha declarado este jueves el jefe de la Inteligencia rusa, Serguéi Naryshkin.
«Están esas señales, pero se verá con el tiempo si este plan se lleva a cabo», ha aseverado Naryshkin.
«La Casa Blanca misma insiste en el peligro de la migración descontrolada; va a gastar miles de millones para reforzar la frontera con México y al mismo tiempo [en Venezuela] atiza el fuego de un nuevo conflicto civil y provoca una nueva catástrofe humanitaria», ha deplorado el alto cargo.
Asimismo, Naryshkin ha afirmado que los países occidentales «están despedazando Venezuela cínicamente y siguiendo los mismos patrones que en Libia y Siria«.
Por su parte, la portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Rusia, María Zajárova, ha declarado este jueves que EE.UU. continúa haciendo aumentar la probabilidad del uso de la fuerza en Venezuela, a pesar de que la «abrumadora mayoría» de los países «se oponen claramente» a una intervención armada en este país latinoamericano.
Ayer miércoles, el ministro de Defensa de Rusia, Serguéi Shoigú, señaló que EE.UU. contempla el uso de la fuerza para influir en los países latinoamericanos y está «ejerciendo una presión sin precedentes» sobre Venezuela.
«En el hemisferio occidental, EE.UU. está retomando la doctrina Monroe, cuyo objetivo es limitar la soberanía de los países latinoamericanos, presionar a aquellos que no siguen las mismas políticas que Washington. Como instrumento de presión tienen en cuenta todos los métodos posibles, incluida la fuerza», comentó el ministro.
La doctrina Monroe, sintetizada en la frase ‘América para los americanos‘, fue elaborada en 1893 y establecía que cualquier intervención de los países europeos en el continente americano sería vista como un acto de agresión que requeriría la intervención de EE.UU.
A principios del siglo XX, esa doctrina fue complementada con la tesis de que los conflictos en Latinoamérica deberían ser resueltos por Washington, incluso a través de intervenciones militares. Durante la Guerra Fría, esa política fue utilizada para combatir la influencia soviética y la propagación del socialismo en Cuba y otros países de la región.
EE.UU. acusa a Rusia de «intervenir» en Venezuela y ha advertido sobre una posible intervención armada en la nación sudamericana incluso sin la aprobación de la ONU y de los demás países de la región.
