Este miércoles en Bogotá, el presidente de Colombia, Iván Duque, recibió miles de firmas de bolivianos que piden activar una consulta ante la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Corte IDH) para que defina si la reelección es un derecho humano.
Las firmas fueron entregadas por una comitiva conformada por el presidente del Comité Cívico Pro Santa Cruz, Fernando Camacho, el expresidente Jorge Quiroga y el exmandatario colombiano Andrés Pastrana.
El Comité Pro Santa Cruz se encargó de recolectar las firmas. La institución afirmó que acumuló más de medio millón de firmas en 185 libros.
Se acudió ante Duque porque Colombia fue uno de los países garantes del acuerdo de 2008 que viabilizó la aprobación de la nueva Constitución el Estado, que permite sólo una reelección para presidente y vicepresidente.
El Comité informó mediante redes sociales que Duque se comprometió de inmediato a activar la consulta ante la Corte IDH de inmediato.
Pastrana quedó como custodio de los libros con las firmas.
Los cívicos cruceños también realizaron una gestión similar ante el Gobierno de Brasil, también garante de la Constitución, y se reunieron con el canciller Ernesto Araújo.
Con estas acciones buscan que a través del Sistema Interamericano se haga que Evo Morales sea obligado a respetar la Constitución y el voto del del 21F.
