La Policía desarticuló una banda de secuestradores integrada por bolivianos y extranjeros que el miércoles por la noche plagiaron a Pedro Choquehuanca, propietario de la Salteñería Hamacas. Pretendían cobrar 300 mil dólares por su rescate.
“Se ha hecho un operativo de incursión que ha sido exitoso. Se ha recuperado con vida a nuestro conciudadano y se ha podido desarticular el núcleo de la organización delictiva. Aún continúan las labores de patrullaje en la zona y se ha recuperado además el dinero que pretendía ser objeto de la transacción y armas de fuego”, informó ayer por la noche el ministro de Gobierno, Carlos Romero.
Detalló que en el momento del rescate, el empresario se encontraba encadenado de pies y manos en una vivienda a 300 metros de la vía principal en Urubó.
Según el reporte policial, a las 23:00 del miércoles, cinco delincuentes armados ingresaron a la vivienda de Choquehuanca.
Exigieron abrir la caja fuerte para robar el dinero y darse a la fuga; sin embargo, el propietario desconocía la clave, por lo que optaron por secuestrar a Choquehuanca y a su esposa.
Los trasladaron a inmediaciones de la urbanización Casa Mía, en Urubó. A las 5:00 del jueves, los delincuentes decidieron liberar a la esposa de Choquehuanca, con el compromiso de conseguir 300 mil dólares que debían ser entregados en tres pagos, de 100 mil dólares cada uno.
La familia de Choquehuanca logró reunir 43.000 bolivianos para el primer pago y 25.000 dólares para el segundo.
Desde ese punto la Policía puso en marcha un operativo para dar con los delincuentes. Ayer por la tarde lograron capturar a Christian Diego Calderón, considerado el autor intelectual del hecho, pues trabajó tres años en la Salteñería Hamacas y conocía el movimiento económico del empresario. También arrestaron a Marcelo Cuevas Carrasco, considerado el soplón o informante de la organización.
La Policía informó que se lograron recuperar cerca de 25.000 dólares, secuestraron varias armas de fuego y sus agentes realizan patrullajes para capturar a los prófugos.
