La Diputada, Lidia Tupa informó que a solicitud de los comerciantes de las asociaciones 6 de abril y 10 de enero, el área de parqueo contemplado en la construcción del mercado del Barrio Petrolero (ex-mercado Campesino siniestrado) podría ser modificado.
La autoridad explicó que los comerciantes solicitaron la modificación de la construcción de este centro de abasto, para lo cual se plantearon dos posibilidades: la primera eliminar el parqueo y a ese espacio bajar casetas de la tercera planta, con el mismo presupuesto; mientras que la segunda opción es gestionar recursos para una segunda fase de construcción.
«Los técnicos de la alcaldía y UPRE analizarán estas dos posibilidades, los comerciantes no quieren que se construya el parqueo», indicó.
En días pasados arribó a Yacuiba el director de la UPRE a sostener una reunión con los locatarios y técnicos de la alcaldía, para analizar esta modificación.
El exmercado Campesino se incendió casi en su totalidad en el año 2016, tras ese incidente los locatarios se asentaron en calles circundantes en casetas provisionales, donde en la actualidad continúan.
