La Cámara de Diputados de Chile aprobó ayer una resolución en la que solicita al presidente Sebastián Piñera retomar el diálogo para restablecer las relaciones diplomáticas con Bolivia. Piden que se restablezca su embajada en La Paz. El proyecto de acuerdo -así se llama el proyecto sancionado- obtuvo 65 votos a favor, 24 en contra y 31 abstenciones.
Esa instancia está conformada por 155 miembros elegidos por votación directa, en representación de los 28 distritos electorales. La iniciativa pretende que el Ejecutivo vuelva a dialogar con Bolivia luego que el 1 de octubre de 2018 la Corte Internacional de Justicia (CIJ) de La Haya rechazara la obligación de negociar una salida soberana al mar.
El documento fue impulsado por los diputados Gonzalo Winter, Diego Ibáñez (Movimiento Autonomista), Pamela Jiles, Tomás Hirsch, Florcita Alarcón (Partido Humanista), Gabriel Ascencio (DC), Jaime Naranjo (PS), Carolina Marzán, Tucapel Jimé- nez (PPD), Carmen Hertz (PC) y (PPD), según radio Cooperativa.
Señala que “no es posible avanzar en la solución de los problemas políticos con esta nación si no se restablece el diálogo político internacional, de modo de dar inicio a un nuevo periodo bilateral”.
Una vez conocido el dictamen adverso, Evo Morales pidió a Chile retomar el diálogo, amparándose a en la invocación de La Haya. Sin embargo, Piñera dijo que se abordaría temas a futuro con Bolivia si abandona la “absurda” demanda de salida al mar y cumple primero “algunas condiciones básicas”. Ambas naciones rompieron sus relaciones diplomáticas a nivel de embajadores en 1978.
