Con un derechazo el goleador puso el 1-1, que enfrió por un instante el mítico Maracaná. Sin embargo, a los 30’ Ribeiro decretó el 2-1 con el que se fueron al descanso.
En el complemento, Flamengo mostró su real poderío al marcar cuatro tantos más y aplastar a un tímido equipo boliviano, que no tuvo las armas suficientes para intensar cambiar la historia del partido.
