El vicepresidente de Bolivia, Álvaro García Linera, en declaraciones a la televisión alemana, recurrió a diversos argumentos para justificar la “legalidad” de la repostulación indefinida de Evo Morales y la suya propia, pese al resultado del Referendo del 21 de Febrero de 2016 (21F), en que el pueblo boliviano rechazó la re-reelección del binomio oficialista.
García Linera en una enredada explicación dijo que al existir “contradicción entre dos artículos” de la Constitución de Bolivia, sobre la reelección, se recurrió al único órgano facultado para “interpretar” la Carta Magna: el Tribunal Constitucional Plurinacional (TCP) que más allá del resultado del 21F, y apelando al Pacto de San José, aprobó la repostulación considerado como un “derecho humano” de cualquier ciudadano.
