El Ministerio Público programó para el martes la declaración del exdirector de la Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen (Felcc) de Santa Cruz, coronel Gonzalo Medina y el exjefe de la División Propiedades de la FelccC, capitán Fernando Moreira. Ambos son investigados por supuesto tráfico de sustancias controladas y presunto nexo con Pedro Montenegro Paz, ciudadano implicado en narcotráfico.
Medina y Moreira se presentaron hoy voluntariamente a declarar por este caso, pero la Fiscalía programó la declaración para mañana desde las 8:30.
Ambos policías fueron vinculados a hechos de narcotráfico, luego de conocerse un reporte de contacto que llegó a la Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Narcotráfico (Felcn), en el que decía que los uniformados pretendían trasladar droga por la ruta Bolivia-Panamá-EEUU.
Luego aparecieron fotografías que relacionan a los policías investigados con Montenegro Paz, ciudadano buscado por la Interpol por estar involucrado en hechos de narcotráfico.
Respecto a este caso, el director de la Felcc de Santa Cruz, coronel Johnny Aguilera, explicó que se investiga a ambos policías con el fin de esclarecer el mismo.
«El Ministerio de Gobierno ya tomado parte en el caso. Hay tres denuncias que se están efectuando allí (en la Fiscalía), entre estas, una formulada por el Ministerio de Gobierno y la Policía, y de oficio el Ministerio Público también ha iniciado actividades de pesquisa», manifestó.
Por su parte, el viceministro de Régimen Interior y Policía, José Luis Quiroga aseguró que no se protegerá a nadie en este caso.
