La Oficina de Defensa del Consumidor (ODECO) decomisó desde el inicio de la comercialización hasta la fecha, más de 300 unidades de pescados que estaban en malas condiciones para el consumo, los mismos fueron trasladados para su entierro sanitario al Vertedero Municipal de laciuda de Yacuiba.
Los controles fueron ralizados en el sector autorizado para la venta de pescados, ubicado en la calle 7 entre Avaoria 1 y 2.
La responsable de ODECO, Elizabeth Santos informó que algunos pescados decomisados no cumplían con los tamaños autorizados y otros fueron transportados de forma inadecuada, haciendo que éstos no estén aptos para el consumo humano.
Los infractores fueron sancionados de acuerdo a la normativa vigente.
